One of the first rules of being a model is enhancing your features. Tyra Banks became world-famous also thanks to her statement forehead, and gap teeth are in big fashion. However, this doesn’t mean you need to have a particular and unique feature in order to enhance your body parts: the best way to make the best out of your looks is just as far as your favorite salon is…
Yes, I’m talking about haircuts! Nothing can make your features stand out more than a good haircut and hairstyle. However, there is one important rule to follow in order to make it happen. Every shape face need to go together with the perfect haircut that will be able to make your beautiful traits stand out. Every face is different, and this is why you have to be careful while choosing your next hairstyle!
Here are some simple rules to make it happen:
If you have an oval face
Oval faces are the luckiest ones: it is very easy for them to look good with most haircuts! You shouldn’t go too long, but with an oval face you can experiment with the edgiest haircuts, from a pixie to a classic bob. Remember to pay attention to your hair texture, the result depends on that as well!
If you have a round face
Round faces can be a problem at times, since you might give the impression to be chubbier than you actually are. A longer cut can elongate your face, while a short one, from the chin up, can make it look wider. If you can’t resist a very short bob, though, at least stay away from curls!
If you have a square face
Length is the best choice for you, then. Curls or light waves can help adding softness to your traits if they are particularly strong. Bobs, when not too short, are also a good choice.
If you have a long face
On the contrary, avoid long haircuts, which will make your face look even longer and thinner. If you really can’t say goodbye to your long locks, though, a solution can be edgy layers, preferably chin and cheekbones length.
If you have a heart-shaped face
This face shape is more difficult to find, and it can be difficult as well to flatter. Since the chin is often what emerges the most from it, try highlighting your cheekbones and jaw with the help of long bangs, a pixie cut or a choppy bob.
Bangs or not bangs?
One of the most unresolved question in hair-styling history. Should you get bangs? The answer is almost always YES, because it looks good on almost everyone.
Go for side-swept bangs if you have a square face or a round one. Long faces will look less long even with blunt bangs, and heart-shaped faces will look great with long side-swept bangs.
