Gigi isn’t remotely a supermodel, and I think labeling her that is disrespectful to the true stars who came from small towns, and have worked their way out of extreme poverty. After a day of work, Gigi gets to relax in her limo and return to her million dollar apartment while the other girls take the subway, walk in rain, sleet and snow and return to reality. Many of the true supermodels came from nothing and it takes much more work when you come from nothing. Also, we can’t forget that she’s just not high fashion.

Mind me, I am not a fan of Gigi Hadid. I see all these hate comments about Gigi: how she tries so hard, how she’s not that extraordinary, how she’s only famous for her family etc etc. But I remember seeing Gigi before: in a bikini photoshoot with a fellow model, and I totally noticed her. What’s with all the hate? models in general start off with runways shows. That is where they pray someday to be discovered. some finish the season and pray they come back the next year. Look, modeling is a JOB. They’re not getting paid to sit around, drinking cocktails. Also, beauty doesn’t determine someone’s worth. Just because she’s (hypothetical woman) pretty, doesn’t mean she should deserve get a gig as a highly revered supermodel. It’s an actual job, and you do need at least some qualifications.
