When you hear “models”, and “diet”, you’re probably thinking very small portions, no carbs, or worse, starvation to avoid bloating. Let’s face it, models really look stunning on the runway and they’re just all amazingly sexy. You’re probably wondering how they keep their figures in tip-top shape. The thing is, these ladies have their own “diet” that doesn’t even consist of depriving themselves of food! You’ll be surprised at what models eat! (Or at least what they claim to eat!)
Protein, protein, and lots of protein!
Contrary to what is actually logical, Martha Hunt claims that she eats more than the usual before a Victoria’s Secret Fashion show. She includes a lot of protein in her every meal that consists of yogurt or eggs for breakfast and a protein source with vegetables and healthy carbohydrates for dinner. For snacks, she has spoonfulls of peanut or almond butter. Not only that, but she makes sure to do intense workouts to burn those extra calories.
The healthier the options, the better.
Kendall Jenner does a lot of boxing, but she said that eating healthy is a huge part of keeping her figure in good shape. She even mentioned on her website that she can actually feel it in her workouts whenever she was not eating right. Kendall claims to love pasta, but it makes her feel tired. So she usually starts her day with free-range eggs, avocado, and oatmeal for breakfast. Above anything else, she feels better by eating better.
Grilled Cheese is life.
Bella Hadid probably has the funniest diet. She says that she eats grilled cheese sandwiches and French fries every day yet she sports such a perfect bod all year long. (Doubtful, if you ask me!) Her secret probably lies on workouts instead of an actual diet. She claims that she eats her favorite food and just compensates with the workout! Not that I’m saying that she’s a good example, but hey, you do you!
Gigi Hadid on the other hand also has a funny and simple eating mantra that says: “Eat clean to stay fit– eat a burger to stay sane.”
Treat yourself once in a while.
Kate Upton has a diet that consists mostly of lean protein at every meal (FYI – Tofu is a great source of lean protein). She limits her sugar and processed foods but admits that she does treat herself every once in a while, which is totally fine. All she has to do is pick up where she left off and keep on eating healthy. Wanna know what she treats herself with? Doughnuts! Kate Upton says that life is too short to not have some fun stuff every once in a while.
Say no to deprivation.
Elsa Hosk works out a ton and sets limits. She usually eats what she wants but works out a lot too. She likes healthy food and prefers it, but if she’s got a craving for pizza or a can of Coca-Cola she’s going to have it. Elsa maintains a balance between her wants and needs in order to stay in shape. She would never deprive herself of anything. Or so she says, anyway. 😉
